When creatives live in line with their calling, they make the world a brighter place. Now more than ever, we need writers, artists, musicians and actors to uplift and soothe us.

But so many creatives are struggling with fatigue and burnout – we are physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted. And too many of us have become so worn out that we’ve had no choice but to step away from our calling.

Creatives are particularly susceptible to burnout.

We give so much of ourselves to our art, vulnerably pouring a piece of ourselves into every word, note and brushstroke. We battle perfectionism and procrastination and bravely forge ahead despite toxic words of discouragement from our inner critics. We swallow countless rejections – by industry gatekeepers, consumers, well-meaning friends and family, and even ourselves.

Over time, this takes a toll on our nervous systems, robbing us of the energy we need to create and affecting our health.
